4/8: Sung Mass for the Feast of the Annuncation

A Sung Mass (or possibly a Solemn Mass) will be celebrated tonight, April 8, at 6 P.M. for the transferred Feast of the Annunciation and Incarnation of Christ at the Church of the Holy Innocents in Manhattan (W. 37th St. between Broadway and Seventh Ave.).

First Friday and First Saturday

The First Friday All-Night Vigil will be celebrated tonight at the Church of the Holy Innocents in Manhattan (W. 37th St. between Broadway and 7th Ave.) There will be a Sung Easter Mass at 6 PM, Sung Easter Vespers and Compline at 9 PM, Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament all night, and a Low Mass to conclude the Vigil at 5 AM.

Saturday, a First Saturday Mass will be held at 9 AM at the Shrine of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in East Harlem (E. 116th St. between 1st Ave. and Pleasant Ave.) The Mass will be followed by prayers for the canonization of Pierre Touissant, devotions to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, and Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament.

The Triduum & Easter Week At Holy Innocents

This week's Triduum celebrations at the Church of the Holy Innocents in Manhattan (37th St. between Broadway and Seventh Ave.) will be:

Holy Thursday Mass at 7:30 P.M.

(There is no Tenebrae.)

Solemn Liturgy of Good Friday at 3:00 P.M.

The Solemn Easter Vigil on Saturday at 9:30 P.M.

The regular Sunday Missa Cantata on Easter Sunday at 10 A.M.

Sung Vespers of Easter Sunday at 3:30 P.M.

All the Masses during the Easter Octave will be Sung Masses (Monday through Friday at 6:00 P.M. and Saturday at 1:00 P.M.

Saturday 3/16: Sung Mass in Lower Manhattan

A Sung Mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 16 at San Lorenzo Ruiz Chapel in Lower Manhattan (378 Broome Street, between Mott and Mulberry Streets) as part of more than 24 hours of Lenten devotions to Jesus the Black Nazarene and Our Lady of Sorrows beginning at 9 PM on Friday, the 15th of March, and continuing past 9 PM on Saturday.

The Sung Mass will be celebrated in thanksgiving for the pontificate of Pope Benedict XVI and for his sucessor.

San Lorenzo Ruiz Chapel is especially entrusted with an apostolate to the Filipino community of New York City.

A Solemn Mass, Pro eligendo Summo Pontifice (for the election of the Supreme Pontiff), will be celebrated Friday, March 8 at 6 P.M. at the Church of the Holy Innocents in Manhattan (37th St. between Broadway and Seventh Ave.).

Saturday 2/23: Solemn Lenten Ember Day Mass

A Solemn Mass will be celebrated tomorrow, Saturday, February 23 for the Ember Saturday in Lent at the regular 1 o'clock Mass time at the Church of the Holy Innocents in Manhattan (37th Street between Broadway and Seventh Avenue).

Fr. Justin Wylie of the Holy See Mission to the United Nations will be the celebrant.
